Am I able to upload a video inside of the email newsletter I’m creating? If so, how do I do that?
Sorry Jill, you cannot upload a video into an email, this is because most email clients don’t support the type of code necessary for the video to play right in the inbox.
I can see why you might want this, but unfortunately it’s a limitation of ALL marketing email providers, it’s not just a restriction of Infusionsoft.
The method I’ve found to work best is to host the video on a landing page, and then add a “thumbnail” image to the email that LOOKS like it has a play button, and then link that to the landing page so when they click the “video” it opens the page with the video on it.
It is an extra step, but it’s much more reliable, and it also gives you the opportunity to use the page to drive them toward whatever next action steps you recommend.
