Personalized Email Confirmation Sequence DoubleOptinLink

Hi, Ive been following the personalized email sequence so that I can create my own double optin link. After setting up the tag and the customised settings in the automation link the video shows inside a campaign that you create a ˜DoubleOptinLink~ from the Merge fields but i dont have this option in my merge fields. How do I add this merge field? Ive tried just typing it in but it comes back with an error when I try and publish.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

If you create a legacy email template (Marketing > Templates), you can merge in that legacy link. Once you have the merge field, I would imagine that it can just be copy/pasted into a regular email builder email…but definitely test it out before sending.
