I receive a Warning" attached to an email that I test send from campaign to myself

I am creating a short campaign. First email sequence, I test send a simple text email, no buttons, no links. It arrives in my email box with a warning that it may be coming from a bad source.

Have you setup DKIM/SPF/DMARC? These aren’t automatically done for you.

John,

I had done DMARC but not DKIM. I believe that DKIM was indeed the problem.

Thank you.

Frank

Yeah, DKIM is the most important, then SPF and finally DMARC (in relevant importance)

What is SPF?

SPF (Sender Policy Framework) - “is an email-authentication technique used to prevent spammers from sending messages on behalf of your domain”.

SPF, DKIM and DMARC are all methods used to validate (aka prove) to email inbox clients that your email is indeed from you and that the service you’re using (aka Keap) has your permission to send emails on your domains behalf. If they’re not set up on your domain server…you will go to spam and possibly bounce or not even anything (just dis-appear into the nether).
