How to link EDM campaign to sales tasks

Hi guys,
I have set up an ongoing month by month nurturing EDM campaign that looks like the below:

The Nurturing Month by Month Sequence looks like this:

Every customer will receive the same nurturing campaign.

I want to add in sales tasks so that after a customer receives a EDM a rep will get a task for that customer.
However the tasks will be different depending on the customer.

I know I can add tags to separate customer groups but not sure how to incorporate several different tags into this campaign so sales reps get different tasks depending on the customer.

Hope this makes sense, please help!

What is different about the task? I wonder if there might be a way to segment your customers at the start of the campaign, that sets a custom field value(s) that could be merged into tasks.
