How do I add tags to links in HTML Builder

I have a customer who is using HTML builder to make great looking emails. (NOT drag and drop)

How do they add tags to links / buttons using code so that they can automate parts of their marketing?

You can do it using legacy tools so it is a bit of a hassle.

  1. First, create a legacy email template that you’ll use to just store all of your automation link merge fields.

  2. To create the links, click the “Links” button at the top, then create all of your actions links, then merge them into the email so you have all of the merge field code on hand for all of your action links.

  1. Then, you can just copy/paste the merge field code into the HTML email.
