Google Analytic code for website 8 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
This code allows you to put up a webform on your site and the code will break down the google cookie and populate the key words into hidden webform fields on your site so when they submit the form it will put the google info into a custom field.

Enjoy

This is great, Justin. Thanks for posting it!

Is there any way you could provide a paragraph or so describing how to implement it? From what I can see, it pulls the info from the Google Analytics cookie and allows you to put the info in a different format in your own cookie and a variable.

Then the next step would be to create a web form with some custom fields, set them to be hidden, pre-fill them with the variable, and then they'd go into InfusionSoft with the rest of the web form data.

Does that sound about right?

I agree. A little more documentation would be very helpful for. I don't know PHP, but I like to translate it to asp/.net. I would be happy to share this code, but can you document each line?

ChrisAustin you pretty much have the jist of it down. I, unfortunately don't know php, and don't know what the code actually says. I am in support and got it from our marketing team to give out as a courtesy. I know the concept of how it is supposed to work by breaking down the cookie from Google and then putting those values from the cookie in hidden custom fields on the web form they are sending.
I thought it would help to post it here since Tyler was talking about it at InfusionCon. Sorry I can't be of more help but I hope that the code is of some use.

Hey guys this might help. Tyler told us about this in the Einstein track. Here is a link to the page where he posted this code after last year's InfusionCon. It has a bit more information, so maybe it will help answer some of your questions.
