Hi !

I'm Kenneth Lund of WeddingTools.com

We met Infusionsoft at the recent Peak Potentials seminar in LA and we're now trying out the different features.

We use Joomla Cms (like infusion does for this community) and we're looking into integrating these two.

Being an existing membership site, we would like to use Infusionsoft for what Peak Potential students would refer to as Front end/Back end tasks.

Kenneth, it's possible but it's all about the resources you have at hand. I can tell you from personal experience that it will be more difficult to use Joomla with Infusionsoft (for the purpose of membership) because their database is very proprietary in how it stores user names and passwords.

However, I'll give you some hope -- I've heard WordPress is great for managing member content and CAN work with Infusionsoft through the XML-RPC API. It may take a moment to setup, but will be worth it.

I suggest to point you to this thread for additional info for WordPress + Infusionsoft: http://community.infusionsoft.com/component/option,com_fireboard/Itemid,451/func,view/catid,14/id,1402/

Hope this helps.

Hi Kenneth

YOu can intergrate Joomla but its work.

With regards to this type of set up have a look at one of my clients sites at www.saloncentral.com

You can see we have set up a CMS for the that covers, content, forums and business direcotries (the direcotries are about to go live in next few week). Normally the content only really needs to cover 10 - 20 pages.

The type of things the API allows you to do with forums can be seen at http://saloncentral.com/forumregister.php

You can get to that address www.saloncentral.com off the main menu and then go to forums and then registar.

You will see on the form that you have to agree to the terms , put in enough info that is relevent, coutnry will be added when we turn on the Business Directories as we have one for each english speaking country. If the agreement is not made then the Submit button does not turn on.

Try it and you will see how this is then intergrated fully into infusion. In the backgroudn it checks to see if you are a need person or not and then puts you down a Double opt in route.

As you will now well understand running more than one database is a complete pain in the the backside. Using the API we have been able to intergrate forums, business directories, paypal and ebay and many other possiblities exist. And we make the Infusionsoft database the master database.

If you want to talk email me georgeslater@bigpond.com

Hope this helps

Hi guys!

Sorry for the delay in respons - I just got back from vacation

I read both your posts and fortunately, tight integration with a Joomlasite is not required for the present time.

It's more a "nice to have" than a "need to have".

It seems that we'll use Infusionsoft in the beginning of our sales funnel and then Joomla takes over for the needed membership-parts.

Thanks for responding!

georges: Would you be open to having a quick conversation related to how you put the API to work to integrate Infusionsoft with a JOOMLA site? I'm interested in making that happen as I will be building my memeber site using joomla as the platform.

I'm ready to join the project, as I have a lot of Joomla experience AND I'm part of the beta testing team, involved in the upcomming SUBS for Communitybuilder.

Subs runs our paid memberships at www.weddingtools.com

Hi guys,

I don't know where this left off but there is a hack for Joomla using the Infusionsoft API that might do for you in the meantime at InfusionAlliance, it will send your new Joomla registrations to Infusionsoft through the API

http://infusionalliance.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=124
You'll need to register then go to Toolbox/Joomla Stuff

Ignore that hack, here is a Free Joomla 1.5 plugin for Infusionsoft that you can use instead.
