Re:Integration with membership sites 10 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
I'm sorry, but I am still not succeeding in integrating infusionsoft with amember.

The amember support guy has tried with several cron job commands but nothing is working.

Inside Infusionsoft I have set up the subscription and product using an order form. I have added a tag upon successful purchase.

inside Amember product setting in the isoft drop down box I choose this tag (this box becomes available when the isoft plugin is activated).

But no information is passed on or picked up by amember when I do a test purchase.

What could I be missing?

Thanks for your help

Does the cron job work when you type it straight into a browser window?
http://yoursite.com/amember/plugins/protect/isoft/cron.php

Each webserver calls the cron job differently. Sometimes you have to have the webhosting company activate a setting before it will work. You might try calling the webhosting company to see if they can help with the cron job if it works correctly in the browser.

I'm not sure what is supposed to happen when I type it into the browser? The amember guy now says the cron job works because the reports show in the log files inside the amember CP.

Can there be something inside Infusionsoft that I am missing? I see in the misc setting under the API key there is "Incoming Action Set". Is that something I should set?

Could there be something wrong with the API key. How would I know?

Is there something else I need to do besides having the tag correspond to the "group" inside amember product setting?

On the order form there is the "Pass Person's info to Thank You page url". I've tried checking that box but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

My order form is set up with a purchase of a product, and with that purchase they get the amember subscription (set at 30 day free trial)

But no information shows up inside amember after purchase.

Sorry for all the questions. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks a million

Where can I get the plugin to integrate Infusion and Amember? Are there any other requirements (such as having the API)?

For whatever reason aMember doesn't make it easy to find the InfusionSoft plugin.

I emailed their support team (support@cgi-central.net) and requested the plugin.

This is what I got back ( including my questions to them):

ME: I keep hearing rumors of an InfusionSoft/aMember plugin/integration but I have had no success finding this plugin on your site. Can you please tell me how I would get such a thing. And how much it costs?

aMember: We have such plugin, it costs $40.00. We will provide payment link after amember purchasing.

ME: A couple more questions:
Can your team help with set up? Are there detailed set up directions?

aMember: Of course we will help you with installation of amember and this plugin. It requires setting up some cron job.

ME: Do I have to do something with the InfusionSoft API to make it work? Will it allow people to sign up and pay through Infusion and have the username & password handled by aMember and turn off the username & password automatically if their payment doesn't go through in Infusion (i.e. does it "talk" both ways)?

aMember: Yes. Plugin will work at amember side and will collect usernames & passwords from ISoft.

I then told him I had already purchased and included my order number and he sent me a link to purchase the plug in.

Hope this helps.

Have a great day,
Cindy

Hi,
Amember does not have the greatest customer support. My experience has been one email a day. It usually requires at least two emails for each issue. One to explain, and another to explain again or give them information that was in the first email. Do not write long complicated sentences. You will eventually get the link for the infusionsoft plugin. It does cost $40.

We have set it up where the customer purchases the subscription through Infusionsoft. Infusionsoft processes the information and tags the customer. Amember picks up the information during the next cron job and sends the new user their login information. An alternative is to have Infusionsoft send the login information.

When a customer cancels, Infusionsoft will change the tag to expired. Amember will pick it up during the next cron job and remove their access.

You will need API set up in your Infusionsoft application and two tags for each subscription (one active, one expired).

We have set up nearly a dozen of these integrations. Each one is slightly different. The hardest part will be the cron job which varies depending on your hosting provider.

There is a new product that I am testing. So far it is GREAT. They are currently building the Infusionsoft plugin. I expect it to be ready in 2-3 weeks. The product is called WishList Member. It is very easy to install and has several training videos.

You may send me an email if you have specific questions, or Infusionsoft Consultants would be happy to do it for you.
Deborah

Re:Integration with membership sites 8 Months ago Karma: 0
Dear Deborah and Cindy,

1. Do I need to add/change something to the code of the any of the php files of the isoft plugin?

2. In Infusion, under the API settings, do I need to do something with Incoming Action Set: (Add)

Incoming Action Set: (Update)

3. I have activated the isoft plugin and set the API key and URL. When I go in amember to aMemberCP -> Manage Products -> Edit, I see a dropdown menu next to Infusionsoft access. However, there is nothing to select. It just gives the option **No access.

I checked the amember Error/Devug Log. It gives the following error message:
XMLRPC Error - -32300 : transport error - HTTP status code was not 200

When access the cron job from my browser, I see a blank page with nothing in the source code.

Any ideas what may be wrong?

I'll try to answer:
1) No you do not need to change the code in the php files.

2) You do not need to do anything with the Incoming or Update Action Set to work with amember.

3) Your applications are not seeing each other.
Is your url correct? https://applicationname.infusionsoft.com:8447/api/xmlrpc

4) Do you have tags set up in your Infusionsoft application for your subscriptions?

Hope that helps.

Re:Integration with membership sites 8 Months ago Karma: 0
My problems seem to be fixed.

My amember setup had problems connecting to Infusion. In the Amember CP -> Error/Debog Log I got the following error message:

Code: :

XMLRPC Error - -32300 transport error HTTP status code was not 200

I wrote to Amember support, and they fixed one file for me. They made changed to the ixr.inc.php file in yourdomain/amember/admin/xlmrpc/

Now I can see the list of Infusionsoft tags in Amember CP -> Manage Products -> when I edit or add a product.

Hope the cron job will not cause problems...
