Payment Plan change to fin. charge on 1st payment 8 Months, 4 Weeks ago

I noticed Infusion very recently must have changed the PAY PLAN function to where the finance charge is slapped all onto THE FIRST PAYMENT of the customer.
This is really quite problematic... especially in tough economic times like these, where most of our customers choose the Payment Plan - and the FIRST payment now just seems A LOT higher to them (well, it is...) [also considering that, in case of physical products, the S/H also gets added to the first payment] - versus spreading out the finance charge over all payments...
It's also misleading to the customer who, on the first order page, sees '4 payments of...', BUT THEN, on the following page, the first payment is HIGHER (100% of finance charge, + potentially S/H).
This is really hurting our business! And I don't understand the reasoning behind it...
Can't you at least give us A CHOICE how the finance charge should be collected?
I really don't understand this change at all. IMHO, this is not an improvement, but rather a step back. ;(
Can you please confirm that there is no option to use this as before? (I hope I am wrong here!)
I noticed that our sales slowed down a few days ago & didn't understand why.
I think now I know...
Plus, this messes up all the $ amounts I quoted beforehand on our sales page & pre-order pages.
Frustrated,
Falk

Falk,
Sorry to hear about your frustration. I've confirmed with a support rep that they are aware of the problem and it is slated to get fixed around March 17, 2009.
Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, but thanks for your patience.
~Joseph
