Death to bounce 10 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Anyone know the status of the planned removal of the hated bounce@infusionsoft.com? What are they planning on doing, exactly?

Russ,

We technically still need to maintain it until more e-mail servers support dropping the requirement. We're in the midst of coding in support for choosing the e-mail alias instead of "bounce."

Unfortunately, I don't have any further details than that.

Joe,

Is there anyone out there or a page that gives a more detailed explanation of why we can't avoid showing "bounce.infusionsoft" due to email server requirements. When we were using Swiftpage to send our emails, this was not present.

Others in the company keep asking me about it, and I need to give them an answer as soon as possible.

Thank you.

... and why can autocontactor.com and constantcontact.com both do it correctly? They are both $30/month solutions.

I know there is a plan in the works to allow clients to customize the "bounce@infusionmail.com" sender.

However, that's exactly what it is -- your e-mail is sent from "infusionmail.com" on behalf of you.

I recall there was a healthy debate around this topic. You can read that here ...

That said, get out and vote on the Infusionsoft Ideas site. Get your voice heard and suggest an alternative that helps you and your business. Our product management team places priority on upcoming new features and refinements based on what our clients feel is important.

Thanks,
