integrating Paypal and Infusionsoft 2 Weeks, 3 Days ago Karma: 0
Hello:

I have been looking around and even called tech support and paypal for this and I can't seem to get the answer.

I am trying to set up my pay pal web payments pro account into the infusionsoft merchant account module.

I can't seem to find the answers to what exactly needs to be in the fiels. I Have the paypal account api username and passwords set up under paypal accounts but I can't find what is supposed to go in the fields for the merchant acount set up.

user: I Take it this is my paypal email?

Vendor: I can't find anything on what is supposed to go in here

Partner: I can't figure this one out either

Password: I take it this is my password for my pay pal account?

Account Limit: I can't find anything on this either

Thanks

Fred,

Thanks for asking this. I understand this is probably a bit unfamiliar for starters. I admit, this is unfamiliar with me. I decided to investigate and hunt down the info.

Here's what I got:
User name, if used. PayPal Manager allows an administrator to assign a user name to each individual who has access to PayPal Manager. If no users have been created, leave the field blank. Also, if you are logging in as an administrator for the first time, this field will be blank.
Partner name that was provided to you in your welcome email.
Password that you created during registration, or that was created by the administrator on the account.
(SOURCE)

I also called PayPal and navigated their phone tree, transfered three times and finally got to someone who more or less explained this to me.

The guy I spoke with suggested this information is found on the invoice and email communications from PayPal to the Payflow Pro account holder.

He advised if account holders don't know what to put into the fields, they can contact Payflow Pro Support at 1-888-883-9770 for assistance. It's suggested to have login name, full name, payment method, etc. ready so they can verify and provide these credentials.

I hope this helps Infusionsoft users with their PayPal Payflow Pro merchant gateway integration.

Hi Joe:

Thanks for thie info but I still have a problem. I just got off the phone with paypal.

I have web payments pro not pay flow pro. They are two completely sepparate systems. The web payments pro system does not have the manager system so I am stuck as of now. I tried to change my shopping cart settings but I have to have a merchant account set up. I though I might be able to default to my paypal account but I can't as of now.

I have gotten the API username and password for that and am waiting for tech support to send me the key and password. So the system will be set up for my web payments pro but I am not sure it will work. My shopping cart looks right but I guess I will have to wait until I get that key.

Do I just set up a paypal account in the merchant set up and just leave it blank? Use that as my defualt merchant account?

I just don't want to wait a week to switch my paypal set up to payflow pro if I don't have to

Fred,
You will have to have a merchant account setup in your app to be able to use the credit card fields on the cart, order forms and recurring billing. There is no way to hide the credit card fields in the cart as a feature of infusionsoft as of now.

But we have developed a script that will hide the credit card fields. That way your customers ONLY see the Paypal option to pay with.

If you would like more info let me know.

attached is a screen shot of an example.

All my best,

Hi Steve:

The thing that is driving me nuts is the fact that web payments pro IS A merchant account. It is not in the dropdown menue for the merchant accounts though.I don't understant why infusionsoft would not have it in the dropdown menu.

In the paypal tab I have had to put all the information in to make it function propery.

I don't want customers to just see the pay pal icon. I want the credit card set up also that is why I have webpayments pro.

Here is the link to my cart now on the 1shoppingcart system

http://www.1shoppingcart.com/SecureCart/SecureCart.aspx?mid=F64F113F-DA9B-4B60-969E-6BD85B024A11&pid=ec53b8545621b8cafccd37347e658e81&bn=1

You can see that it processes credit carts or you can go to paypal

Infusionsoft has the username, paswords and codes to make this work. They just don't have it recognized as a merchant account.
