Just to back up Joe's post we asked for international Paypal and we now have this - and it works well.

Yes there is a list of other things we need - but as Joe said this will not be an overnight thing - but it will happen - InfusionSoft are passionate about getting it right and from what I have seen when you wait it happens and comes good.

15% are non-US based? Wow!!! This is HUGE!

Considering the fact that this market segment has been Infusionsoft's redheaded stepchild, it does show what a tremendous potential this product has.

I don't run Infusionsoft but such a number would certainly encourage me to move closer to this customer base, especially when you consider that many of the needed modifications are minor.

I am surprised that Infusionsoft hasn't done more to meet us halfway on many simple issues.

If this were an election, politicians would run amok for 15%.

We were actually surprised by the number... for a while it used to only be a few percent, and now fast approaching 20%. This will help us consider ramping up our international support and features.

It won't be immediate, it won't be fast, but it will be probably something the executives will think about more closely.

Thanks for your additional comments Bob, Marc and Joe.

With reference to your comment Joe, if I may offer a suggestion - if I ask a customer to email me some information regarding a problem with the product/service I was offering and I know they are in a tight spot with it - I email them back right away saying "thanks I'm on to it - it might take x days/weeks but expect to hear from me shortly". It is an important touch point to help reduce anxiety.

Since my support case has been marked as resolved I have no option but to chase up progress via this forum. If you want me to request updates on this issue another way then please let me know how. To me seems a strange way to manage support.

My client is regularly asking me what is being done about their non-complying invoices. I would not be inclined to tell them it takes a long time for a product roadmap to change – because they will likely ask who in the meantime will be paying the non compliance fines issued by the Australian Taxation Office.

Your comments give the impression that this is a product improvement that has its place somewhere in the product roadmap. That’s fine, but we were sold Infusionsoft as an ecommerce solution suitable for an Australian business and as it stands it does not deliver on that.

Will Infusionsoft be prepared to help by issuing a workaround while a resolution is pending? Will you provide the code/instructions for a custom invoice?

Nathan,

As I said, I'm happy to elevate this for further review, but beyond that, I can't commit to anything that our product does not currently do.

I don't know how to provide such a workaround, other than preparing a template that details the definition of the taxes and possibly storing them in custom fields. Ugly yes, but again for full disclosure here, I don't know much about invoice templates.

Our software is strongly marketed toward the US segment. We do very little international marketing except with our CMACs who assess our software against the current markets' needs in their regions.

(Example: Marc Summers is a great UK CMAC who is able to match the right businesses the need to use our software and set them up so they pair properly.)

We're getting there, little by little. Soon, we will be standing up a CDN that will allow greater speeds, lower access times for all our JavaScript and CSS -- which will be a major boost to our global users.

Obviously regulatory matters pose a greater danger to our users than suggestions, so that has been noted and escalated. The more you can share examples of the problem, the more we will be able to adapt to that.

~Joseph

Fair enough.

With regards to your marketing - I receive emails from Infusionsoft on a daily basis so I consider myself heavily marketed to as an Australian based business.

Anyway, I'll ask my client whether they wish to wait for the product roadmap to kick in, pay for some custom CMAC work or request a refund.

Any movement on this?

We are having to manually remove "Sales Tax" and put in a line item called GST for every Australian web order.

Interestingly enough this was the main reason i moved to infusionsoft, was due to it's automation feature, but once i had purchased the product, i found out about the invoice issues.
I have been able to achieve a less than desirable work around. Simply change the logo you have uploaded to infusionsoft. In the logo i have my ABN and a statement that all prices include GST along with the words Tax Invoice.
It looks average on unsubscribe pages etc, but at least i can sent out invoices. I also have the sales tax feature turned off.
Hope that helps.
I originally posted about his late 2008.
