Importing contacts from Goldmine.
The way it is structured is a Company has a main contact and then sub contacts.
I can explode them so every contact is by itself. But when I import them, how do I make them link to a company.
So all my ABC company contacts are under the Company ABC...
Please don't tell me manually. In the import listing I don't seem to have a drop down to import Companies but only Contacts.

I've got the same problem. I need to import about 2,000 companies, but cannot figure out how to import a company with the linked person so we can avoid 2,000 manual links.
Also, it is very troubling that companies are treated differently than people. Companies do not have an email addresses, phone numbers, fax numbers or website fields. A company cannot be added to a sequence.

Unfortunately, this currently can't be done on the front end import tool. It can be done on the back-end however. Contact support 866-800-0004, tell them what you want and ask to talk to a data transition person.
Richard is correct. The company record isn't "actionable", currently it is just used to manually manage multiple person records in one convenient place.
