Ah, I see.
My concern is almost 100% with emails. In 99% of the cases, an immediate step is an email, so I assumed your immediate step was also an email...
So, for anything BESIDES email, please put the actions into an action set and run them directly from the API, as was originally suggested to you by the now-suddenly-looking-smarter-than-me support rep.
Until it is fixed I am still planning on moving my immediate action steps to the Action Set wrapper. I hope that this is really not something you would prefer clients do not do.
This is the correct approach.
