If W3C says firefox, who am I to complain? Although I do see a pattern of overbloating in the last 1-2 years, the road that maid mozilla a pain in the end.
On a sidenote: There are no IE-only websites. If it doesn't work on firefox, it's probably not W3C compliant. It's some sort of application simply using a webserver for communication, not a website.
