Open: How to make the Community better? 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 22
Hey folks,

I've had a pleasure moderating and growing the Infusionsoft Community here for a little over a year and I can tell you that it has grown quite a bit if you haven't noticed.

Not just this community, but a number of communities in which we participate in have grown substantially in just the last year.

We've grown our Facebook Fan page, Twitter and Blog community up quite a bit in recent months. So if you haven't checked those out yet, I encourage you to.
- Blog: http://www.infusionblog.com
- Twitter: http://twitter.com/Infusionsoft
- Facebook Fan Page: http://companies.to/Infusionsoft

I come to you today looking for ANY ideas, complaints, pains, suggestions, compliments about the community here. Yes, I know the usability is a major pain and thats the first thing I intend on fixing but I need to know a few things:

- What is important to you? That is, content, features, topics, discussions, etc.

- What new ideas, topics, features do you want from the community?

All your comments, suggestions (and even hatemail) will be used to improve our community here so everyone can get what they want. I also intend on marrying all of our communities together, so they will be accessible in one place so you can't forget where things are.

This is very important to me and I very much appreciate your candid thoughts here. In the end, it will improve your experience with Infusionsoft and that's what I love most about it.

Thanks,
Joe

Joe, you've done a great job here. My only suggestion is that we talk about success stories here. There have got to be plenty of instances in which customers have figured out ways to leverage the system and grow their business. Would love to see success stories shared and showcased.

Success stories can be inspiring. Too many people tend to focus on what's not working with an application like Infusionsoft. Instead, how is this incredible tool making a difference in growing our respective businesses?

Glad you agree. There's always a learning curve that we all sometimes struggle with. But as we climb it and leverage the system we will get results that can inspire others to overcome the short term frustrations.

I totally agree ... more success stories. What I love is triumph over obstacles in their small business ... Infusionsoft related or not. If we can give someone the chance to have a bit more free time in their life... then the clearly Infusionsoft has had an effect in freeing people up to be able to focus on new (important) things.

What else do you love/hate about the community. I'd love to accommodate ANY suggestions wherever possible.

Honestly, the format of this board is what I find the most distracting. Why didn't you use a simple vBulletin template like every other forum out there?

Honda-Tech, BayAreaRidersForum, BimmerForums, etc. are all based on the same vBulletin format which is widely used and familiar to everyone.

The format for this board is hard to navigate and not very intuitive.

The main thing I can't figure out is how to check on the threads I've subscribed to.

Thanks for the feedback. I very much agree, this format is rather unintuitive. The good news is that it will change.

Excellent news! When is the change going to take place? Will we migrate to a vBulletin format? I can honestly say that if this board were easier to navigate I would spend a lot more time here.
